ERIC KASSAY
Eric Kassay is a tuba player and marching arts designer located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. With over 8 years of experience teaching band and the marching arts, he has been able to help countless students achieve their musical goals and reach their true potential.

Eric graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in music education at Rutgers University in 2019, where he studied with world renowned tubist, Alan Baer, principal tubist of the New York Philharmonic. He spent his summers in undergrad marching in drum corps in the Drum Corps International competitive circuit, where he marched with Jersey Surf and the Bluecoats. After graduating from Rutgers, Eric was a high school and middle school band director in New Jersey for two years before he moved to Texas. During his tenure as band director, Eric performed with the NABBA champion brass band, Princeton Brass Band, under the direction of Aaron VanderWeele, where he played Eb bass.

Currently, Eric is studying at the University of North Texas for his master’s in tuba performance. At UNT he performs with UNT’s Wind Orchestra under the baton of Andrew Trachsel and the tuba-euphonium ensemble under the direction of David Childs. Eric currently studies tuba with Donald Little, former tubist for the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Opera.
In his spare time, Eric likes to tinker with computers and electronics and considers himself to be an amateur audiophile.
